Bryan Keith Lanier is a multi-disciplinary artist based in
Montreal, Quebec. Born in 1974 in Rockledge, Florida, he is the son of a
career military man and an Avon lady. Having travelled extensively as a
child, his art(like his life), is a mix of different mythologies and
cultures.
Taking themes from religious and classical art and
extending them to present day, Lanier creates allegories often touching
on the pressures and conflicts of his own experience and modern-life at
large. Filled with references to art history; there are often unspoken
themes and layers of form and meaning lurking just below the surface of
the images that he presents.
